Anodized
Coatings -
The careful
control permitted by the electrolytic anodizing process provides
substantial improvements over the natural oxide film (mill finish)
because of the greater thickness, density and hardness of the
factory-produced finishes. This coating may be "clear,"
bronze or black. The Aluminum Association classifies architectural
anodized coatings as Architectural Class I coatings and Architectural
Class II coatings depending on the coating thickness and recommended
uses.
Note: Anodized
finishes are etched into the material. Some die marks may be
evident.
